Taking account of the merits of regional and international coordination and cooperation, as highlighted by the “Bali Fintech Agenda” elaborated by the World Bank and the IMF, the BCT is very active in exchanging regional experiences as regard financial innovation. Hence, it participates in the works of :
The Maghreb Fintech Committee under the auspices of the Board of Arab Maghreb Central Banks’ Governors

Watching over innovative technologies in the banking and financial industry and the international best practices of interaction with Fintechs;
Contribution to financial inclusion in the Maghreb region;
Promotion of financial innovation in the region by giving an external visibility to Maghreb Fintechs;
Coordination and exchange of experiences;
Contribution to the harmonisation of the Maghreb regulatory framework to remove any financial innovation barriers;
Implementation of a common strategy of the management of risks inherent to Fintechs’ activity;
Launching studies and surveys on Fintechs’ opportunities and challenges;
Coordination with other regional and international Fintech Committees
Presidency: in rotation i.e. It is the Central Bank’s representative who organizes the meeting
Permanent members: one or two of the Arab Maghreb Central Banks’ representatives;
Other members: external experts, if needs be
